The Living Bread
Our last two times in the US (November 2010 to February 2011 and May 2011 to July 2011), we noticed a significant difference in the attitude and concerns of the people. Almost everyone we spoke with is greatly concerned for the direction our nation, the United States of America, is going. Many seem to have a sense of foreboding of the future. We are reminded of several scriptures speaking of this. "And there will be signs in the sun and moon and stars, and upon the earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves, men fainting from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world; for the powers of the world will be shaken." Luke 21:25-26. In the last year we have had earthquakes, tsunamis, tornados, flooding, fires and on and on. People are concerned because not only do these destroy immediately, they affect crops and food supplies. Again God's Word comes to mind. "Though the fig tree should not blossom, and there be no fruit on the vines, though the yield of the olive should fail, and the fields produce no food, though the flock should be cut off from the fold, and there be no cattle in the stalls, Yet will I trust in the Lord, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation. God the Lord is my strength… ". Habakkuk 3:17-19

About us
We arrived back in Israel July 22, with no difficulty, bringing our grandson, Cody for a visit.

To sum up our time in the US; We were very blessed. We celebrated with our family on several occasions. First we went to Austin, Texas for our Grandson, Cody's high school graduation and helped our daughter and her family move. It was a great family time. Next we took a few days to visit and rest in Colorado with our family there. The end of June we flew to Florida, visited a special friend and spent several days with family, getting together on July 3 for a small reunion of Ruth's family. At this gathering, we celebrated the birthdays of our oldest family member, Ruth's sister, Ione, 94 and the youngest member of this family, M.J. 1 year old. The middle of July we celebrated our youngest daughter's 40th birthday in Shreveport, Louisiana.

The Lord gave us opportunities to speak in several churches.

Outreach to Pensioners
Ellen made the deliveries to the Social Services department for the pensioners in our absence.

Other Assistance Sheni and her family are very grateful for the assistance they receive monthly from a prayer group in Canada.

Druz Believers
The Druz believers continue to follow the Lord; some secretly, others more overtly. The persecution continues, but as with persecution, there is growth in the Body of Christ. These brothers and sisters, depend on and greatly appreciate your prayers.

Beit Shalom
In our absence, we were blessed to have Dana and Genny and Ellen, working together to keep the Center going as well as the outreach. Our number of guests coming to the Center was down while we were gone, but as always, the volunteers reported that the guests were a great blessing.

Morning Star
Please continue to pray for this congregation as they pray and fast for the nation of Israel and work toward getting into their new building.

Your prayers and support sustain us and we are so grateful to the Lord for each of you. Please continue to pray for us that we will follow His leadership as we continue to serve in Israel.
