The Living Bread
What an awesome time in Israel!  We have begun the Fall Feasts of the Lord.  The evening of September 28, began the Feast of Yom Teruach, The blowing of the Trumpet.  "In the seventh month on the first of the month, you shall have a rest, a reminder by blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation.  You shall not do any laborious work, but you shall present an offering by fire to the Lord." Leviticus 23:24,25; Numbers 29:1 Today it is known as Rosh Hashana, the head of the year, or the New Year. It is  interesting how even the feasts set up by God Himself, get changed to fit mens' ideas.  It is a festive time here, with everyone greating each other with, "hag samach" and "shana tova", "happy holiday" and "good new year".  Now two days are celebrated.  On the first day Genesis 21:1-34, the account of Isaac's birth, is read, along with 1 Samuel 1:1-2:10.  On the second day Genesis 22, the account of the sacrifice of Isaac is read, as well as Numbers 29:1-6, Jeremiah 31:2-20

About us
We were blessed to have our dear friend Barbara Flewelling here for 10 days assisting us at the Center.  She and Ellen did some touring with Earl. We also took them to the Ghetto Fighter's museum near Akko, where one can get an inside view of how the ghettos in Europe looked and hear the stories of many of the people who were there as children.  It is very well done, but very sobering.

This is a time of prayer and seeking God's direction, for Ellen, Earl and me.  We know there is change ahead, but as yet do not know the details.  As always, our Heavenly Father opens up His best at just the right time.

Outreach to Pensioners
We were blessed this month to be able to deliver food vouchers to four more families than our usual monthly quota, making a total of twenty two.  The people are so very grateful to have them at the holiday seasons.

Other Assistance
Sheni and her family are very grateful for the assistance they receive monthly from a prayer group in Canada, and also some extra donations from individuals who stayed with us.

Druz Believers
The Druz believers continue to follow the Lord; some secretly, others more overtly.  The persecution continues, but as with persecution, there is growth in the Body of Christ.  These brothers and sisters, depend on and greatly appreciate your prayers.

Beit Shalom
In September we were blessed with guests from Canada, Holland, Israel, Japan, Korea, South Africa and U.S.

Morning Star
Pastor Claude was abroad the first and third week of September.  Earl brought the message September 3rd.  Week before last, a young man accepted Yeshua as his Messiah at the end of our service.  Praise the Lord!

Your prayers and support sustain us and we are so grateful to the Lord for each of you.  Please continue to pray for us that we will follow His leadership as we continue to serve in Israel.
